Carve Bunnies Thanks Attendees of “Skate Today, Thrive Tomorrow” at Freshkills Park

Staten Island, NY – October 2024 – Carve Bunnies, a non-profit organization dedicated to empowering women and promoting inclusivity in action sports, would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to all the amazing attendees, supporters, and volunteers who made the Skate Today, Thrive Tomorrow event at Freshkills Park a resounding success.

The event brought together hundreds of skaters, bikers, and community members from across Staten Island and beyond for a day of fun, inclusivity, and outdoor sports. With participants of all ages and skill levels, the event featured exciting activities including the Women’s Skate Contest, rock climbing, skate yoga, live music, and various games and giveaways.

Carve Bunnies is proud to have hosted this unique community event, which aligns with our mission to provide inclusive spaces for women in sports while advocating for a permanent skate garden to be included in the final plans for Freshkills Park.
