Press Release: 10-Year-Old Emelie Pardo Awarded Youth IKON Base Pass Through Carve Bunnies’ “Access the Slopes” Initiative

New York, NY – Carve Bunnies is thrilled to announce Emelie Pardo, age 10, as the inaugural recipient of our Youth IKON Base Pass as part of the 2025/26 Access the Slopes initiative — a program designed to increase representation and access to snow sports for girls and women from BIPOC and underserved communities.

Emelie, an ambitious and passionate young snowboarder, shared her dream of one day competing in the X Games. Her dedication and love for the mountains inspired our team and reminded us why this work matters. By providing Emelie with an IKON Base Season Pass, we’re investing not just in her ability to ride — but in her vision, her voice, and the power of opportunity.

“Access the Slopes” was created to remove barriers to entry in snowboarding and skiing by providing free IKON Base Passes and Child Passes to women and girls who are typically underrepresented in winter sports. The program reviews applications on a rolling basis, and those not selected in one cycle are automatically considered for the next. Selection is based on both demonstrated passion and financial need, with documentation reviewed carefully to ensure fairness.

We believe that everyone deserves a shot at first tracks — especially the next generation of riders who will change the face of the sport. Emelie is proof that when we invest in kids with vision, grit, and heart, we help shape the future of snowboarding and beyond.
